Competing under number #98, Mason has built one of the most accomplished careers of any American rider in international rally-raid, earning a W2RC World Championship and five Dakar Rally starts while representing the United States at the highest level of the sport.

Mason competes under Klein Offroad Racing (KORR), a privateer family racing program dedicated to his pursuit of excellence at the Dakar Rally and across the global rally-raid circuit. He is currently preparing for the 2027 Dakar Rally.

Early Racing Career

Before transitioning to international rally-raid, Mason Klein established himself as a formidable competitor in American off-road and desert racing. He earned the BITD 300 Pro Championship and achieved significant success in Hare & Hound racing — disciplines that demand the speed, endurance, and desert instincts that define the best rally-raid riders in the world.

That foundation in American desert racing gave Mason the skills and mental toughness to step onto the international rally stage and compete immediately at a high level.

Dakar Rally Career

The Dakar Rally is the most demanding motorsport event in the world, held annually across the deserts of Saudi Arabia. Mason Klein #98 has competed in five Dakar Rallies through 2026, making him one of the most experienced American Dakar motorcycle riders of his generation.

• 2022 Dakar Rally – 9th Overall & Rookie of the Year: Mason's breakout Dakar performance delivered a remarkable 9th overall finish and the prestigious Rookie of the Year award — one of the strongest Dakar debuts by an American rider.
• 2023 Dakar Rally – Stage 2 Winner: Mason claimed a stage victory at the 2023 Dakar Rally, demonstrating the outright pace to compete with the world's best rally motorcycle riders.
• 2024, 2025, 2026 Dakar Rally: Continued to build experience and results in the RallyGP class, competing against factory-supported riders from KTM, Honda, Husqvarna, GASGAS, and Hero.

International Rally Racing

• 2022 W2RC Rally2 World Champion: Mason claimed the Rally2 class World Championship in the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) — the governing series for international rally-raid competition. This title established Mason as the top Rally2 privateer rider in the world.
• 2023 Sertões Rally – Overall Winner: Mason took the overall victory at the Sertões Rally, one of South America's most prestigious rally-raid events.
• 2024 Sertões Rally – 2nd Overall: Backed up his 2023 win with a podium finish the following year.

Throughout his international career, Mason has gained experience racing KTM, Kove, and Honda rally motorcycles, giving him a broad technical understanding of competitive rally machinery.
